Hill Center
Nashville, TN
One thing that is consistent in retail construction is change, and Hill Center was no exception. The tenant in one of the largest leased spaces requested major changes to the exterior of the building. This request occurred after we had completed structural steel, metal studs, sheathing, roofing, overhead plumbing and fire protection. The revisions, which would involve major changes to three building elevations, would require saw-cutting the concrete foundations walls, cutting the structural steel and installing new structural steel, re-working metal roof deck, and re-routing roof drains and fire protection lines. Hoar worked diligently with the architect providing constructability ideas and with subcontractors to schedule and price the changes. In the end, we completed all the changes and turned the space over to the tenant in time to meet the Grand Opening date.
