Jefferson State Community College

Jefferson State Community College's St Clair Center opened in the fall of 2006. This 45,000 square foot multi-level classroom building will support 1,500 students. It contains tiered classrooms, a computer lab, three science laboratories, faculty offices, and houses offices for the St. Clair County Economic Development Council. Locally know as Jeff State, this two-year community college system has four separate campuses and Hoar has provided services for all four. Students at the St. Clair campus are offered the opportunity to complete general education courses including: business, art and music appreciation, biology and chemistry, computer and word processing, agriculture, English, social sciences, mathematics, humanities, and speech.
