Ritz Carlton
Miami, Florida
The Ritz Carlton South Beach is a 378 room, 400,000 square foot luxury hotel. The project, a joint venture between Hoar Construction and Coastal Construction, involved the renovation and expansion of the Di Lido Hotel, one of Miami’s most famous Art Deco structures. It included eleven floors, 3 of which were pre-existing; 72 poolside cabanas in the early Miami South Beach style; 40 private suites; 67 Ritz-Carlton Club level rooms; 13,000 square foot spa featuring a complete fitness facility and full menu of spa and beauty salon services; an outdoor heated pool; executive business services; a 10,000 square foot ballroom seating up to 1,000 guests; and multiple meeting and executive boardrooms. Work was coordinated with the Miami Beach Historical Association to insure the original Art Deco theme was preserved both on the exterior and throughout the interiors.
