West Florida Hospital

The West Florida Hospital Reskin and Lobby Addition was a phased project to provide a major upgrade to the hospital. Starting as a simple reskin of the existing EIFS veneer on the front elevation, it was expanded to include the remaining three sides of the facility. The reskin adds a modern, resort style appearance to the hospital and enhances the building’s capabilities to withstand the Florida coastline weather. The ongoing construction at West Florida Hospital caused minimal disruption to the 500 bed facility despite the fact that the entire exterior skin was removed and replaced one section at a time. Interior patient rooms and corridors were renovated as well, ultimately resulting in a completely refurbished facility. Hoar Construction has been active on the West Florida Hospital campus for nearly 10 years providing services for several projects including an ER Expansion, an OR Addition, and Imaging Department Renovations.
