Granite Westchase II

Houston, Texas

Granite Westchase II, is a new fourteen-story, 336,000 square foot, speculative high-rise office building designed and constructed to achieve LEED Silver certification. The project also includes an 8-level, 1000+ car parking garage. The office building is constructed using cast-in-place concrete and features a glass curtain wall exterior. Eight different glass types and tints in the curtain wall design provide a unique architectural composition. Each type of glass – four spandrel and four vision – were carefully coordinated during installation to ensure the different patterns and accents matched the desired architectural look. A specific Quality Control Plan was implemented for all of the 7100 openings in the curtain wall system. The precast concrete parking structure ties into the existing parking deck serving Granite Westchase I. Full upgrades of all site amenities such as walkways, courtyards, entry drives, and landscaping were included as part of the project.
