Hoar Construction and Goodgame Company, Inc. Joint Venture Awarded St. Vincent's St. Clair Replacement Hospital

Birmingham, AL – Hoar Construction, LLC and Goodgame Company, Inc. will build the new St. Vincent’s St.Clair Replacement Hospital in Pell City, AL. The City of Pell City, the St. Clair County Commission, the St. Clair County Economic Development Council, the St. Clair County Health Care Authority and St. Vincent’s Health System have partnered together to bring this new facility to St. Clair County. Designed by Birchfield Penuel and Associates, the new 76,000 square foot, two-story facility will sit on a 16-acre site visible from the I-20 corridor. The hospital, owned by the St. Clair County Healthcare Authority and operated by St. Vincent’s Health System, will share a campus with Jefferson State Community College’s St. Clair facility and a new Veterans Administration Nursing Home.

The new hospital will replace the current facility built in 1968 and will include 40 patient beds, an emergency department, surgery department, inpatient nursing, outpatient services, wellness/educational services, and a dietary department. Construction is scheduled to start mid-summer 2010 and be ready for occupancy by early fall 2011. Future plans include a 45,000 medical office building and a wellness center.

The company provides services to industrial, commercial and retail markets with 80% of the firm’s clients being repeat customers.
